Found the linked article on an OECD report on the impact of technology on PISA math and English scores.  The article shows that technology is not helping achievement on these test and schools may be wasting money on buying technology.

After receiving PD on Google Classroom I am considering using the technology for my course.  My Website currently does the same thing for resource distribution but it may be a good way to keep things less public than a website.

After editing a test on Google docs I realized that I was overwriting the assignment due to the online autosave feature. I was trying to create a different version of the test but keep the original as well. It is very important to use the make a copy feature when you want to keep the old one.

Implementation of Google Apps

I am learning that Google Apps for Education will make collaboration in PLCs much easier.  This year I am working with two other teachers on developing curriculum for Global Geography 12.  Google drive makes it very easy to share resources with others and also make comments and edits on documents.

Just completed my first Prezi assignment. The program is extremely easy to use and is an alternative to the traditional PowerPoint presentation. The program allowed me to incorporate my own images into an existing template which allowed for consistency in images as they are also used in my lectures throughout the course. Prezi also allows for a brief amount of information to be included in each "bubble" which can be used as a lecture. This will be used to present my course outline in the beginning of my course. I look forward to creating more Prezis in the future.
